Personal exhibition at Les Abords in Brest (France) from 7 March to 1 April 2022, following a research-creation residency at the University of Western Brittany (UBO) and the European University Institute of the Sea (IUEM).
The exhibition shows the first projects relating to Katrin Gattinger's research on tricks: between stratagems of the living environment, visual traps and sound lures, it is the Alsatian wildlife milieu that is summoned to play the surprise.
Two monumental works, on the one hand a 32m long photographic frieze of a nocturnal landscape where many presences escape ("Then leave") and on the other hand a vast interactive installation sound-images, made in collaboration with the composer Arno Kristensen, who reverses the game of glances ("Being the Barbarian of a wolf"), are at the heart of this exhibition.
